What is Minto?

Minto is a Minecraft server built as a globe, divided into 12 connected pentagons called tiles, each representing a distinct region of Earth.

When you first join, you'll spawn in a region corresponding to your real-world location — Australians start near Australians, Americans near Americans, Europeans near Europeans.

The globe-like design means you can travel the world on foot, using cardinal directions to navigate. It's possible to witness two sunsets in a single day by moving quickly enough around the planet.

Gameplay with consequences

Minto strikes a balance between the intensity of anarchy servers and the security of traditional SMP servers. Here, your builds can be defended through the protection system, but they’re never invincible.

You can build, raid, form empires, wage wars, and participate in authentic politics and drama. Everything you do on Minto has real impact and meaning — nothing is merely roleplay.
